Very nice stuff! Definitely fits the game's aesthetic very well. As for critique, I personally feel the background is lacking somewhat. (Also, I now just noticed *that* reference, so that's bumping up my score another half-star.)

Though I personally feel work needs to be done in areas such as the hands and sword, the face is drawn really well.
